SharePoint Mentoring Service
The purpose of the SharePoint mentoring service is to assist companies in being able to offer the highest standard of ability to clients in SharePoint. It focuses on helping during each step in the complex lifecycle of an engagement. Most mentoring will take the form of answering of questions via email and telephone. Detailed responses will the form of reports and documents giving detailed guidance on designs of server farms, governance and taxonomy. Some specific are:
- Bid support: reviewing, QA-ing and advising on bids.
- Help in drawing up proposals to gain SharePoint work from potential clients.
- Assistance in requirement gathering, and drawing up a functional specifications.
- Taxonomy, Architecture and infrastructure planning.
- Capacity planning, disaster recovery, virus scanning and backing up.
- Policies, procedures and governance planning for the management of the platform.
- Directing staff to gain the knowledge and certifications they need to know the SharePoint platform.
- Advise on development best practices, including the SharePoint OM, Workflow and Web Parts.
Pricing
The service is offered in monthly increments, with lower rates for longer engagements.
