There are lots of ways to do this, I suppose you could figure out the Web Service, but I just made an ASPX page, ran it on a seperate website to SPS, I then used the Page Viewer Web Part to display it. It has been useful to make a printable contacts list.

Here's the code: http://www.spsfaq.com/downloads/users.txt

Right-click and save as... to save the file, then save it as an ASPX

To make it work, you'll have to put in your own domain name and the username and password to access your Active Directory. This is just some sample code to get you started, you'll have to learn some LDAP and ADSI to really get it to do what you want, but it'll help.

Yes, there are simple instructions here, you'll need a little Frontpage knowledge to do it.

SPSFAQ0302138 - Is it a good idea to use Frontpage 2003 for SharePoint customisation and development? - 0 Comments - stephencummins - Fri, Dec 10th, 2004 - Customisation
http://www.sharepointblogs.com/dustin/archive/2004/08/24/722.aspx

This raises a few interesting points, I find Frontpage 2003 to be an excellent tool, but only in the hands of someone who knows what they are doing! It's way too easy to mess SharePoint up with it, so don't let someone use it who thinks they are just editing a html page. I use it for adding Web Part zones, Dataviews and the like, but never for style changing, I will create a theme for that.
