Exams not passed this time I'm afraid! I sat 74-132 and 74-133 before christmas.

74-132 was about 33% on CMS, 33% on integrating CMS with SPS and 33% on writing Web Parts with Visual Studio. I got about 12 questions out of 50 (241 out of 1000). I can't say anything about specific questions, that'd be cheating! Even the CMS stuff was all programming, since I know almost no CMS I was doomed.

74-133 exam more about which programs to use to do what: SPS, WSS, CMS, Indexing server, Bixtalk, InfoPath, Commerce server, and how these would work together, I got 17 (341 out of 1000) this time, which was better, and the questions were more about configuring rather than programming, still, the exams lacked a real-world feel, but I suppose the answers have to be unambiguous, and in the real world what the "best" solution is can be very subjective.

The big warning here is: these are not SharePoint exams, they are MS Portal solutions exams. There may be an MCP for SharePoint eventually, but for now, these are all there are.

In other news, SPSFAQ had 674,695 visits in 2004 and 4,971,497 hits. Nearly 5 million hits! I'm amazed. It goes to show how big SharePoint is getting.

I've updated my books and blogs pages with the latest stuff I've found. Note the blogs page also includes an updated OPML file.

There is a hotfix package for WSS out now too.

I was interested to read this post from Mads about the suggestion that MS have aquired SourceCode and their Workflow product K2.net. I agree with him that SharePoint needs a Workflow tool with a GUI, not just a set of triggers on Document libraries for Developers.

I'm going to skip my usual list of the individual posts to my FAQ today, but I've added content in Links, Customising, Managing and General. Go take a look!

Have you got your summaries mixed up with the exam numbers?
